Fine-tuning of airflow and air pressure is achieved through mechanical structure adjustments.
In addition to electrical speed control, the mechanical structure of centrifugal fans also provides various adjustment methods.
1. Inlet Guide Vane Adjustment:
In Ningbo Haoyue Fan Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s products, the inlet is usually equipped with adjustable guide vanes. By changing the opening angle of the vanes, the angle at which air enters the impeller can be changed, affecting the fan's pressure characteristics. This adjustment is typically used in VAV (Variable Air Volume) systems, in conjunction with pressure sensors for automatic adjustment.
2. Volute Damper and Inlet/Outlet Dampers:
By adjusting the opening of the dampers at the fan's inlet and outlet (such as volute dampers), the resistance characteristics of the pipe network can be changed. Although this method results in some energy efficiency loss, it is necessary in certain applications requiring precise matching of the fan performance curve (such as flue gas treatment or high-pressure ventilation systems).
3. Blade Angle and Parallel Operation:
For applications requiring a wide range of adjustment, the blade angle of centrifugal fans can be adjusted (variable-angle centrifugal fans). Using multiple fans in parallel, by starting and stopping individual fans or adjusting the speed of one of the fans, is also a common adjustment method.
